Getting Ready For The 14th Annual Radiothon For Children’s Miracle Network

It's coming up quick, but next Wednesday and Thursday, February 10th and 11th Y105 will be hosting our 14th annual Radiothon event for Children's Miracle Network and the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics.

Maybe you're new to the area or not familiar with the event, so I wanted to fill you in and get you prepped up for what you'll hear.

Starting Wednesday morning, the sound of the station will change slightly.  We open our doors and welcome families from all over the area that have been affected by these two great organizations.

These folks take the time to come in and share their stories.  Some are amazing and uplifting.  Some are are tragic and moving.

At times, we'll also play songs called montages which feature stories from other families we've talked to in years past.

Being honest, at times it can be hard to listen to.  It's especially hard to hear a person tell the story of losing their child.  The University of Iowa Hospital is making miracles happen everyday through your support and the Children's Miracle Network.  They are saving lives!

We'll have our toll free phone bank set up, so you'll be able to make a donation.  We'll also have a secure link you can donate through at our website.  We'll be posting all of that for you next week.

Ultimately, we hope to have another nice, fat check to send to the hospital so we can help save more lives!
