This goes without saying, but I urge you to use some extra caution this weekend when you get behind the wheel.

According to a release by AAA, you should prepare to battle the most traffic we've seen in six years this Labor Day.  That's 34.7 MILLION cars traveling at least 50 miles from home.  (That's the most since 2008.)

It seems like at least once every spring and once every fall you hear about a tragedy locally on the roadways.  I get it... the sun is shining, the top is down and the radio is turned up.  Unfortunately, kids are back in school (and out in full force), folks are trying to get those last few motorcycle rides in and people are in a hurry to get to their 3-day weekends.  These factors help add up to extra big accidents.

So again, I urge you.  Buckle up, slow down and take your time.

It's cliché, but I would like you to be hearing my voice again Tuesday morning when you turn on your radio.  (God knows I can't afford to lose anymore listeners!)

Be safe this weekend.  Happy Labor Day.
