62nd Annual Dubuque County Fair ‘Sneak Peak’

It's safe to say that 'fair fever' has officially hit at the Y105 studios.

It started yesterday when the phone rang around 3pm.

"Hi, is this Y105?  This is Jason Derulo..."

We all smiled and gasped!  Jason will be hitting the stage at the fair on Saturday night, August 1st.

Then, Jamie Blum, the general manager popped in this morning to give us a sneak peek of some of the fun stuff coming up next week.

All the fun starts on Tuesday (7/28) with kid's day.  There will be one-ticket-rides that night only starting at 4pm.  The day will include lunch with Santa, a human Christmas tree contest, pedal pull and frog jump.  That evening in the grandstand you'll see the IMCA Stock Car Races starting at 7pm.

Wednesday (7/29) features Heritage Day, celebrating a day dedicated to the legacy of time-honored fair traditions.  Enjoy bingo from 11am to 3pm and check out the NTPA Tractor Pull starting at 7pm.

Thursday (7/30) is race day with the Sprint Invader Races starting at 7pm in the grandstand.

Friday (7/31) is rock day, with a fairgrounds egg hunt, sticks and spoons contest and an 80's night Game Show, followed by the Summerland Tour.  This show features great rock from Everclear, Fuel, the Toadies and American Hi-Fi.

Saturday (8/1) is family day.  Check out Open Class Horse, Dairy and Rabbit shows starting at 9am.  There will be performances by the Extreme Dance Team and the Dubuque Dance Studio.  Don't miss Jason Derulo with special guest Lizzo performing on the grandstand stage starting at 8pm!

Sunday (8/2) is closing day at the fair, but they still go out with a bang!  Check out the mud-volleyball tournament starting at 9am and human foosball starting at 10am.  Don't miss the annual Demolition Derby starting at noon followed by the IMCA Stock Car Races at 6:30pm.

Be sure to watch for the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles walking the fair and find entertainment nightly in the Budweiser Beer Garden, too!
