Part one of The Get Down had fans from all over raving about it. Now, they’re back and ready to release the second part.

The Get Down, a show based on the beginning of hip-hop, is back with a brand new trailer for and it looks like it's going to be a good one. Part one of the Netflix series aired last year and gained some great reviews from hip-hop heads all over. Part two of the trailer includes some music from R&B singer/songwriter 6lack as well.

Dating back to the late 1970’s, The Get Down depicts aspects of music that most hip-hop lovers might've been unaware of. It reveals the struggles and obstacles hip-hop creators were forced to endure during their time trying to take an art that was once deemed as an outcast to something much more greater.

Throughout the two and a half minute trailer, you get a taste of what’s to come for Books and Mylene, two young lovers who become torn apart by cultural differences and music. The trailer for part two gives it’s viewers an insight of new enemies, new trials and tribulations, and the overall hurdles that were taken to get hip-hop where it stands today.

6lack is working extremely hard this year and continues to add to his résumé. Along with his song "Shaolin's Theme/Pray" in The Get Down trailer, he is also going on the “Starboy: Legends of the Fall” tour with The Weeknd. Not to mention, he has cooked up some new music with Jhene Aiko and is possibly going to be releasing a record with Gucci Mane. The young singer/songwriter is looking to have a very successful 2017.

The Get Down is set to launch globally via Netflix on April 7, 2017. Check out the full trailer below.
