It's almost here! The 68th annual Dubuque County Fair! Kevin Kotz stopped by this morning to give us a sneak peek at some of the stuff you'll want to check out!

Kevin seemed tired. I asked him how much time he puts in with his crew this time of the year. He said his usual day starts at 5am in the Fair office and he gets home around 1:30am... only to turn around and do it all over again the next day.

But... he says it's worth it to put on a great time for folks in the Tristates.

We went over a few of the highlights that you might want to check out this year.

Tuesday is opening day, and a 'free day' to boot! That means there is free admission all day and the evening show will be free, too. Carl Acuff Jr., Wichita Lineman, A tribute to Glen Campbell will begin that night at 7pm.

Wednesday is 'Kid's Day,' featuring special kids activities and prizes all day! The annual pedal pull starts at 1pm and the famous frog jump starts at 4pm.

Thursday is 'Country Day' featuring Chris Lane with special guest Casey Muessigmann. Gates will open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:30pm.

Friday is 'Rock Day' with Queensryche and special guest Slaughter. Again, gates open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:30pm.

Saturday is 'Family Day' with the ECIPA Truck and Tractor Pull starting at 7pm.

Sunday is 'Race Day' with the Demo Derby starting at noon and the Julien Dubuque Classic Stock Car Races starting at 6:30pm.

You'll find carnival rides available each day with ride bracelets on sale Wednesday through Sunday for unlimited rides for the kids! Of course you'll find all your favorites including corndogs, funnel cakes and fresh-squeezed lemonade, too!

Master Hypnotist Jim Wand will be doing three shows each day, too.

There is so much to see and do, so I'd recommend you track it all out in advance at the DUBUQUE COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS WEBSITE. You can also get all your tickets for the shows there, too!

I'll see you there broadcasting live from the midway!
