When it comes to supporting local non-profits, there might not be an easier and more impactful program than Kwik Care.

If you're not aware, Kwik Care has helped raise both funds and awareness for local nonprofits. Each month, Kwik Stop and Dairy Queen help collect donations for a different organization. Donations can be made easily by requesting your total purchase at any of those businesses (including at the gas pumps at Kwik Stop) be rounded up to the nearest dollar. The additional cents used to round up will be donated to the respective charity of the month.

About Almost Home in Dubuque:

March's Kwik Care recipient via Kwik Stop in Dubuque is Almost Home. In conjunction with Open Closet, Almost Home at St. John's Lutheran's mission is to help men and children who are homeless or are at-risk of homelessness. Their committed staff operates on a shared vision of stabilizing and strengthening the family unit.

Moreover, the Open Closet is open to the public (men, women, and children of all ages) and provides clothing, shoes, hygienic, and household items to those in need. Items are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and completely free of charge. Robert of Almost Home, in addition to Heather Hamm from Kwik Stop/Rainbo Oil, came to the studio to talk about Almost Home's mission in great detail.
