Two Years Later, Amber Heard Gets the Last Laugh
Amber Heard is finally getting the sweet, sweet satisfaction of the perfect comeback — even if it's two years later. After all, the saying does go that "revenge is best served cold."
For context: two years ago, Heard and her then-husband Johnny Depp brought their Yorkshire Terriers, Pistol and Boo, into Australia. They failed to declare the dogs at customs, however, and were accused of "dog-smuggling" and listed as public enemy #1 by the nation's Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce. Joyce even threatened to euthanize the pups, saying “If you come into this nation and you don’t obey our laws, you’re in trouble.”
Now, 16 months later, the news has broken that Joyce might technically be a citizen of New Zealand, rendering him ineligible for his parliamentary position. Enter Heard, who is definitely familiar with unintended violations of Australian law and disproportionate reactions to such.
Done and done.
