One of the most unique homes in Wisconsin, and maybe all of the Midwest, has just come up for sale. Ever imagine spending a night in a school? Or your entire life? Well, this couple laid the groundwork for your dreams to come true!

James Groh of TMJ4 News caught up with a couple in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin that converted Cascade Elementary School into a single-family home. The couple, Richard and Oristela Aguinaga, purchased the school in 2016 to use for Richard's electronics business.

Once Richard sold his electronic business, they decided to sell their home in Sheboygan and move into the school, located at 510 Lake Street in Cascade. They have lived there for a year, and now they're listing the home... for $849,000!

Groh and TMJ4 did a big video tour of the school. If it contextualizes anything, it affirms how difficult it is to turn a once-functioning elementary school into a home. Classrooms are far from cozy living room interiors, and communication between the couple required texting and calling to figure out where one another was at.

Cascade Elementary School was closed after the 2010 school year when it was consolidated. Students were sent to nearby Plymouth. The listing for the "home" states there are five bedrooms and 13 bathrooms in the building, which is an enormous 17,000 square-feet on 18 acres:

It's way more homey than you realize because it kinda reminds you of the old days when you went to school - Richard Aguinaga, per TMJ4's news report

One detail the couple curiously omitted: how much it costs to heat and cool this place. I can only imagine the costs must be astronomical.

The amount of storage space, however, is practically unrivaled. Groh added that there are six classrooms that the buyer could use however they like, and while there is no garage, there is obviously plenty of parking:

If you have a situation where you have a bigger family, a growing family, an in-law situation, this is the place for you because it’s super quiet and there’s plenty of space - Richard Aguinaga, per TMJ4's news report

I love how he added "an in-law situation." No further context.
