The Cursed Doll of Janesville, Minnesota Will Give You Chills and Haunt Your Dreams
Minnesota has so many ghost stories, legends, myths, and I love hearing about all of them. Whether they're true or not, they're always so interesting to me. That brings us to a story I learned about recently. Apparently, there's this cursed doll that used to be seen in Janesville,
A post in The Journal written by Chad Lewis talks about all sorts of stories, legends, and myths from around Minnesota, and he also talks about this creepy doll. According to Chad, the doll used to belong to a homeowner in Janesville, and people who walked by the house would always see this cursed doll looking out the second-floor window. Some people even said that it felt like the doll was watching them. Yep, I'd be creeped out! According to TV Fury, the homeowner and owner of the doll was Ward Wendt. Chad writes that Ward "refused to say why the doll was there". Weird...
TV Fury says that Ward passed away in 2012. Chad writes in The Journal that the cursed doll was then moved to the library in town. People were very interested in the doll and wanted to stop by the library to see it. I would have probably done the exact same thing. The issue was that the kids were now scared to go near the library because of the doll. In the end, they decided to give the doll "back to the former estate holder." TV Fury says the doll still looks out the second-floor window of Ward's former home to this day.
What do you think about this story? I like to believe that it really is a cursed doll because it makes for a better story but I'm also wondering if Ward put the doll in the window to be funny. He just wanted to see people's reactions as they walked by so he left the doll in the second-floor window to "watch" people.
