Looking at the Halloween Weather Forecast for Dubuque
It's an annual question and concern every year for children and their parents: what will the weather be like on Halloween?
In the Midwest, we've had Halloweens that have brought on everything Mother Nature can offer. I remember Halloweens that were sunny and 70 degrees, so tempting that I was infuriated I still had to go to school and waste eight hours inside. I recall Halloweens where my winter coat covered my costume due to temperatures being in the 40s. I love living in the Midwest, but it's times like these I do wish I lived somewhere where the climate basically guaranteed a day with appropriate temperatures.
What Do Early Weather Predictions Say Dubuque Should Expect?:
At the time of this writing, Halloween is exactly a week away, so AccuWeather and other models are starting to predict the conditions for the end of October and beginning of November. As always, meteorology isn't an exact science, so this is subject to change.
Be that as it may, it's looking like this could be a cool but still-pleasant Halloween for the Tri-States.
Per AccuWeather, Dubuque is looking at partly cloudy skies and a high of 52 degrees on October 31st. Wind is looking mild at only nine miles-per-hour, and a low (the evening temperature) of 42 degrees. Per this prediction, we should see some sun on the spookiest day of the year.

Last year on Halloween, Dubuque saw chillier temperatures (48 degrees) and extensive cloud cover, so this year might prove to be a step up from 2024. In 2023, we saw a few snow flurries, and temperatures were brutally cold (for this time of year) at 34 degrees. Stay posted on the weather forecast for Halloween in Dubuque on AccuWeather's website.
