Each week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting a "Pet of the Week." The Pet of the Week is available to be adopted via the Humane Society.

This week, we have a cat that's bound to win your heart (FYI: you'll win his right away if you have some treats to spare).

His name is JerBear, and he's a handsome tomcat who is ready to settle down into a relaxed home. He's approximately four-years-old, and the Dubuque Regional Humane Society notes that he's an adorable charmer. He arrived at the Humane Society a stray back in May, and has quickly won over the staff.

To be fair, the staff has won him over too, thanks to the treats he's been provided. He goes crazy for any puree cat treat, so if you want to win him over, providing him with even a little bit will surely make him your immediate friend.

JerBear also has a cheeky side to him. When he's mischievous, or a little overstimulated, he likes to give a few little swats or "love bites." He's a lover at heart, and clearly has an infectious playful side to him that is bound to make you melt.

The Dubuque Regional Humane Society recommends a home where he can let loose and get his energy out. On that note, a home with older children might be the best bet for his needs.
