    • ‘Foot stomping’, high energy’ and lots of badass is what you’re in for when you see this musical powerhouse live in concert.  Described as ‘The best Irish band in bluegrass’ and ‘sparkling, infectious’ these lads have been hailed as ‘Ireland’s answer to New Grass Revival’ Bluegrass has it’s roots in Irish music and Irish immigration. iGrass and JigJam is what happens when the Irish find their prodigal son.

  • Boxing Banjo
    • Ireland’s Boxing Banjo has amassed more than 20 Irish championship titles and 4 World bodhrán titles making its four members some of the most well respected in the country.  Boxing Banjo’s music combines a range of instruments including the button accordion, tenor banjo, guitar, fiddle, and bodhrán, and features the group’s strong vocal arrangements.

    • Fire Pipe and drum band created in July 2009 by public servants from the fire, police & 911 dispatch services
  • McNulty School of Irish Dance
    • The McNulty School of Irish Dance was founded by Barbara McNulty T.C.R.G. in 1971 in Naperville, Illinois.   The School currently offers classes in 6 locations in Northern Illinois as well as Iowa and Wisconsin. The McNulty School offers classes for all ages and experience levels.  All students have the opportunity to perform and compete.  Dancers begin learning in the Irish soft dance shoes, and then progress to heavy shoe dances over time.  Students will enjoy learning both solo and team dances.

Mission
The mission of the Irish Hooley is to promote Irish/Celtic music and culture in Dubuque.. For generations, the highlight of Irish social life was the Hooley with music, dance, song, good conversation and merriment.

The Irish Hooley Music Festival is held within the friendly confines of a City of Dubuque Park.
All City Of Dubuque Park System rules are enforced during our festival.
