Hip Hop music will return to the Five Flags Center, Dubuque’s entertainment destination, on Saturday, November 21, as chart-topping rapper Flo Rida makes his first ever appearance at the venue!

Tickets to see Flo Rida at Five Flags Center are on sale now. Ticket sales will be done solely online through FiveFlagsCenter.com and Ticketmaster.com.

According to a press release from Five Flags Center:

Miami-based Flo Rida burst onto the music scene in 2008 when his debut single, “Low” (featuring T-Pain), rose all the way to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, remaining there for ten weeks and becoming the best-selling single of the year. The track also broke records for digital downloads at the time of its release.

“This certainly promises to be a very fun night of music at a time when people need some fun in their lives,” commented Five Flags Center General Manager H.R. Cook. “This will be a perfect excuse for music fans of all kinds – but especially hip hop fans – to bust out their boots with the fur for a great night in downtown Dubuque.”

Flo Rida followed up the success of “Low” with ten more Top 10 singles, including #1 hits “Right Round” (featuring Ke$ha) and “Whistle.” Altogether, his songs have more than 50 million total digital and physical sales. Flo Rida has also collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, including Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Lady Gaga, DJ Khaled, and Sia.

Five Flags Center has continued to expand its offerings into hip hop music over the past several years. The venue saw a major success with 2019’s concert featuring Nelly and Chingy, which sold approximately 3,300 tickets and was Five Flags’ best-attended music event of the year. In the months that have followed, additional hip hop acts have been booked to play the venue, including Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Twista, the Insane Clown Posse, and now Flo Rida.

As part of the effort to re-open Five Flags Center in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the facility is being included in ASM Global’s VenueShield program. The protocol incorporates best practices to provide the highest levels of cleanliness and safety to inspire consumer confidence while accommodating evolving guest expectations. Aspects of the program may include, but not be limited to, the use of personal protective equipment, contactless transactions, physical and social distancing, and employee temperature checks.

Additionally, only 400 passes into a “pit” on the floor of the venue will be sold for the Flo Rida concert, to help ensure and encourage physical distancing. All other tickets will be general admission, giving patrons the freedom to choose their own seats within Five Flags’ permanent and bleacher seating.
