The McDonald's fan-favorite sauce that made its debut in the late 90's is making a comeback - for a limited time only.

Mickey D's Szechuan Sauce came out alongside the 1998 release of Mulan, combining the flavors of soy, garlic, ginger, and mild vinegar.

It regained popularity when it was the center of an episode of Adult Swim's Rick and Morty, where Rick went to taste the Szechuan Sauce through a dream sequence, or something like that. I don't really know, I've never seen it.

All I know is if you're planning to get this fancy sauce, you'll be able to on March 31st.

Last time the sauce came back, people were trading their cars for a single pack of the stuff, and people spent up to $1,000 on one.

The re-release wasn't handled very well, leading to stores running out quickly to the long lines, short supply, and customers getting mad enough to the point where police had to be called in, like at one store in Los Angeles. Reports of riotous situations, fights, and even a stabbing were reported to the police.

So, if you're planning on doing it, be sure to get in early, or you're going to end up in a standoff with the other sauce fans.

Of course, it wouldn't be a promotion without a shameless push of their app. The sauce is only available to order through their app, so you'll have to make sure that's all set up.

Good luck, and hopefully you come back alive.
