Today, June 7, is the birthday of Rae Sremmurd member Swae Lee! The Mississippi-born rapper turns 25.

Born Khalif Brown, the young buck got into rapper from an early age in Mississippi with his brother Aaquil Brown a.k.a. Slim Jxmmi. The pair originally went by Dem Outta St8 Boyz until they linked up with producer Mike WiLL Made-It in 2012. The boys took on their current moniker after signing with Mike WiLL’s EarDrummers Entertainment imprint in 2014.

Rae Sremmurd have spent the last three years supplying fans with young party anthems. Their first hit was 2014's "No Flex Zone" which peaked at No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100 and fueled the release of their debut album, SremmLife. Other singles off the debut include "No Type" and "Throw Sum Mo" featuring Nicki Minaj. 2016 would prove to be the duo's biggest year yet. The pair kept the party going in 2016 by dropping their follow up album SremmLife 2 in August and scored their first Billboard No. 1 of their career with the track "Black Beatles" featuring Gucci Mane.

Outside of Rae Sremm, Swae Lee has been getting busy as a songwriter and guest feature. His biggest solo work to date is teaming up with French Montana for the song "Unforgettable," a banger that's became one of the very biggest songs of summer 2017.

Bringing the good vibes into 2018, Swae once again teamed up with his brother to drop off Sr3mm, a triple album that includes solo LPs from himself (Swaecation) and Slim Jxmmi (Jxmtroduction). With summer upon us, it's safe to say tracks from this triple LP will be in heavy rotation everywhere.

Happy Birthday, Swae Lee!
