This is National 4-H week and there is plenty of celebrating going on!

Sarah Ludwig is the County Youth Coordinator with the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Dubuque County.

She oversees and grows the Dubuque County 4-H program, which is a youth development program that focuses on healthy living, STEM, communication and the arts and leadership and civic engagement.

Their goal is to help shape youth to become successful contributing members of society.

They also work with youth on project areas, help participate in community service projects and show at the Dubuque County Fair.

4-H is for youth of all ages. 4-H is for grades 4th to 12th and the clover kids program is for kindergarten to 3rd graders.

This week they've been celebrating with special events including "Search-it Sunday, Memory Monday, Tip Tuesday" and "Write-it Wednesday."

Tomorrow they'll host a special "Trivia Thursday" and Friday their special "Fan Friday" event.

For more information on the fun things 4-H does, visit their FACEBOOK PAGE or call Sarah directly at 563-583-6496.

Thanks again to Sarah for stopping in to fill us in!
