Hy-Vee Is Looking For Helpful Smiles At Today’s Hiring Event (5/26)

I love everything about Hy-Vee. During the pandemic their 'Aisles Online' service was a lifesaver for me and my family. Austin stopped in this morning to tell us about a hiring event today and how you could be a part of their great and growing team!

First of all... Austin totally knows how to get a DJs attention. We conversed this morning over one of their 'Mia Pizza' brick oven fired pizza. They make the dough fresh daily with ingredients from inside the store. (You can dine-in, carryout or have them delivered, so call some evening and make dinner easy!)

Today they are hosting a special open interview hiring event, which will be at the Dodge Street Hy-Vee location from 10am to 6pm. (Even though it's at Dodge, the event is for all three Dubuque locations.)

There are full time and part time job openings, but Austin mentioned they are really trying to staff the restaurant portions of each store as they are all reopening.

They are looking for servers, line cooks and bartenders.

The server positions will be $10 an hour plus tips, with a guaranteed wage of $12 per hour.

Line cooks start at $13 an hour... but if you have experience it's possible you could start higher.

Bartenders will start at $12 an hour plus tips.

As for the perks of working for Hy-Vee, Austin mentioned he loves the customers and the people he works with. You'll build a lot of great relationships and it's a great place to work. Hours are flexible so if you're a student looking for some summer hours or you're just looking for some supplemental income it's perfect.
