Iggy Azalea is a free agent and she couldn't be more happy.

She broke the news to fans via Twitter on Saturday (Nov. 3). "I’m officially unsigned!!!!" she wrote. "Wild you spend so long trying to get IN a record deal... never thought I’d be so elated to be OUT of one. now I’m free to release whatever kinda music I like, whenever I’d like woooo!"

Though she is free to move on her own terms now that she is no longer shackled to a label, the Aussie MC will take her time putting out new material. "Well still no music this year tho," she added. "Iam no where near ready direction wise etc with the stuff I’ve been working on and I don’t wanna jump the gun and have some messy era aesthetically. I’m aiming to be ready to share new music early next year!"

Iggy was initially signed to Def Jam where she dropped her debut album The New Classic in 2014. After her music was continually put on the back burner, she parted ways with Def Jam and signed with Island Records in February. She finally dropped her follow-up Survive the Summer EP in August. The project featured guest appearances from Wiz Khalifa and Tyga. However, she suffered another setback when her tour was canceled in October.
