If you've never seen the 1999 workplace comedy 'Office Space', there's a character named Milton Waddams. Milton is walked over by his co-workers who will take things from his office without any regard. Eventually, he gets relocated into a storage room and is taken off the payroll but no one bothers to tell him and he continues to work for a paycheck that will never come.

I'm not working pro bono, I don't have co-workers who come into my office and take my stapler without asking permission and would like to think I'm regarded a little more highly around the office than Milton was.

We do have one thing in common: I WAS moved into a storage room! In short, the move was a logistical one so that the hallway my old office was located in could be comprised solely of sales reps.

The only available office was a room that had been dedicated to storing station t-shirts and other random objects. Unlike Milton's storage room, this one is spacious and has a window. It's actually a better office room than the one I moved out of!

The reason this room was available and filled with boxes probably has to do with the fact I'm right next women's bathroom (I will NOT go into details about some of the unavoidable things I've heard while sitting at my desk).

In the end, I'm much happier in my current digs (sans the occasional bowel movements from my female co-workers) and my employer will be happy to know that I have no intention of lighting this place on fire like Milton did.
