It’s a Great Time of the Year For Seasonal Foods!

Every season of the year has it's highlights.  Turkey in the fall, cookies at Christmas time and the start of apples and green beans sprouting in the springtime.  But summer... oh, summer!  How I love your sweet corn!

I want to say thanks to Jillaine, our summer intern, who took note a few years back and knows how much my wife and son love Fincil's sweet corn.  When it when on sale last Friday, Jillaine and her family picked us up a bag of corn and it was DELICIOUS!

I don't care what anyone else says, Fincil's sweet corn is the BEST!  Maybe it's the half-stick of butter I slather on the cob, or the teaspoon of salt... it's so good!

If you're a local you know exactly what I'm talking about.  If you're not, make sure you get out and pick up a dozen ears.  We like to eat ours with fresh grilled burgers or BLTs.  You won't be sorry.

A close second to corn in the summer has to be ice cream cones.  Is there anything better at the end of a hot day?
