Dyersville Catholic Schools Receive $50K Donation; Strech Goals to $9 Million
According to a recent press release, the MidWestOne Bank Foundation has made a significant contribution to local Catholic education by giving $50,000 to Beckman Catholic High School and St. Francis Xavier Elementary in Dyersville. The donation was made in support of the schools’ joint capital campaign, One Faith. One Family. One Future., which launched in the fall of 2025.
This campaign is focused on improving facilities and growing endowments at both schools. The goal is to provide students with updated learning spaces, better resources, and financial support for future generations. Originally set at a $7 million goal that was reached, the campaign has now raised nearly $8 million, allowing the schools to pursue an updated stretch goal of $9 million. This makes it the largest and most successful fundraising effort in the school's history.
“As a proud alumnus of Beckman Catholic High School, I’m honored to see the MidWestOne Bank Foundation invest $50,000 in a place that had such a profound impact on my life. This contribution to the school’s capital campaign reflects our foundation’s commitment to strengthening communities and supporting institutions that shape future leaders. I’m grateful to work for an organization that recognizes the importance of education and believes in giving back in meaningful, lasting ways."
-Jason Heisler, Vice President of Midwest One Bank & Beckman Catholic Class of 1994
The campaign focuses on empowering the students by investing in capital improvements and endowment growth, which allows them to strengthen programs, enhance classroom experiences, and ensure that students have access to high-quality education into the future. The current level of funding will already provide new HVAC systems at both schools, an increase in the endowment to $10.5 million, and a new artificial turf and track at Beckman. This isn't the only large donation the schools have received for this campaign. In December of last year, Dyersville's own Fidelity Bank and Trust contributed $100,000 dollars to the capital campaign.

Beckman Catholic and St. Francis Xavier currently employ more than 100 faculty and staff and have provided nearly 170 years of continuous Catholic education. The partnership between the schools and the local community is central to their mission, fostering leadership, service, and spiritual growth in students. Contributions like the MidWestOne Bank Foundation’s $50,000 gift play a key role in supporting efforts to help shape future leaders and maintain strong connections in the community.
