The Dubuque Regional Humane Society is excited to (re)introduce our Pet of the Week: Sherlock! This lovable 9-year-old gentleman was Pet of the Week this past Fall and is sadly still patiently waiting for his forever home. We think it’s time to put him back on the case.

At 66 pounds, Sherlock takes his detective duties seriously, investigating every interesting smell he can find. When he’s off duty, he’s a sweet, affectionate boy who would love nothing more than cuddles with his future family.

Sherlock is great with kids and has done well with other dogs. He’s currently enjoying some well-earned relaxation in foster care, but he’s still searching for his perfect match. Donations help place hand-drawn valentines on shelter kennels to brighten each animal’s day, with four valentine levels available: candy heart, kiss, teddy bear, and rose. Every Valentine is handmade, proudly displayed, and the donations for purchasing them directly support the animals in need.
