You want to shop local, but so many websites just have mass-produced stuff from who knows where.  There is a new website launched right here in the Quad Cities that connects local craft makers with craft buyers.

We Make It Local goes beyond the Quad Cities and gives you the ability to find handmade goods from across the country so you can shop local from anywhere.

Diana de Chardin started WeMakeItLocal.com in 2025 with a vision where handmade craftsmanship is valued, celebrated, and accessible to everyone, no matter where they live.

As real crafters get frustrated by other websites selling mass-produced "crafts", We Make It Local is passionate about empowering artisans and small businesses by providing a platform that showcases locally made, high-quality products which are available nationwide.

For the local craft maker looking to show off and sell their work, the website is very simple to upload and share the products.  But they will also make sure you actually are a local craft maker.  Each crafter needs to submit a video showing their work.  This helps keep out the mass-produced "Temu quality" junk and provides consumers with peace of mind knowing they are buying local, handmade goods.

WeMakeItLocal.com is connecting customers with meaningful, one-of-a-kind finds. Online shoppers can scroll through some of the latest products that are being shared, or search for that exact handmade item you've been thinking about for yourself or that special someone in your life.

From wood to leather, art for your wall, or jewelry for your body, there is a bit of everything on the website.  And when you buy it, you'll know your money is staying local, or going to somebody who is "local" in the online world of craft makers.
