It's not an unusual thing for this Iowa native turned superstar to show up in the state, but we sure are happy when we see him.

Before he was a big star, Momoa grew up in Norwalk, Iowa where he still has family to this day. That's probably a big part of the reason why he loves to come back and visit often. He does have a love for the Hawkeye State though.

The last time we saw the famous actor was back in 2020 when he stopped at one of his favorite hometown spots, Waveland Cafe in Des Moines. Momoa is a regular at this place. He even has his own menu item called the Momoa, which consists of full hashbrowns with a full order of biscuits and gravy on top and two sunny-side-up eggs with a side of bacon. Now that's a meal!

His latest visit was after a night at the Oscars. He flew from California to Iowa after a big awards night for some hometown tacos. According to the Des Moines Register, he stopped into Tasty Tacos at 5847 SE 14th Street in Des Moines for his favorite tacos. As you can see from the restaurant's Facebook post, he was not in his Oscar attire. Instead, he sported a casual yellow, long-sleeve shirt.

Momoa's love for Iowa is heartwarming to see, but not surprising. Back in 2019 he gave us a tour of his hometown and a glimpse into what it was like growing up in Norwalk. You can see in the video just how truly at home he feels here.

We're sure that we'll continue to see him pop up in Iowa. Although, it looks like we may need to start hanging out in Norwalk.
