Preserving history and life is at the core of our mission at the National Mississippi River Museum. Protecting visitors, members, staff and volunteers goes hand in hand with that mission.

As such, the National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium is following recommendations from the CDC, the Iowa Department of Public Health and local officials by temporarily closing to the general public beginning March 17, 2020.

As a non-profit organization, they rely on admissions and memberships to support experiences where history and rivers come alive. During this closure, it is their hope the public will continue supporting our work through purchase of memberships or tickets for future admissions. Additionally, they will be working to provide regular educational content through social media for adults and families who are practicing social distancing at home.

All currently held general admission and film tickets are good for any day a year from purchase. All Stingray Feeding tickets are refundable by calling 563-557-9545 x214.
