Mom’s Prized Possessions

We all have that hope that one day we'll be going through an old drawer or box and find it.  That valuable item or pile of money that will put you ahead.

I spent a few minutes with my mother at her house the other night going through a few old drawers she wanted to clean out.

We found a bunch of my old cassettes... (kids, ask your parents), including Weird Al's "Dare To Be Stupid," AC/DC's "Back In Black" and the soundtrack to "Footloose."

We also found a VHS copy... (again, parents)... of the 1990 classic "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."  I remembered it was Jeff Robb's favorite movie so I took it with me to give him.

Mom suddenly got excited.  Hoping it was something cool or of value, I was disappointed to realize it was her VHS collection of the "X-Files" television show.  She also found an "X-Files" figurine of Fox Mulder.  (It was still in the original container... maybe it is worth some money!)

You know what they say... one man's trash is another man's treasure.
