PHOTOS: Partying at Smoothie King’s Grand Opening!

It was a fun time at Smoothie King on Dodge Street on Saturday as we helped celebrate the shop's grand opening event. Since coming to Dubuque in January 2022, Smoothie King and its passionate employees have been serving up delicious smoothies. Some are rich and chocolatey. Some are a blast of fresh fruit. Very few boast substantial sugar, making them agreeable options for your diet/food regimen.

In addition to smoothies, Smoothie King was serving up awesome raffle prizes to go along with this grand opening event and broadcast. They had a kayak, which came just shy of scraping the ceiling, a couple Smoothie King-branded bean bag boards, men's and women's gift baskets, koozies, and a plethora of balloons.

Outside at the Y105 table, we celebrated with candy and a personal "congratulations" card that customers could sign to welcome Smoothie King and its employees to the community. You couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day: 70 degrees and sunny, weather that almost demanded you get outside for a walk or some shopping.

The special Smoothie King was running was enough to make you want to get out too! 32 and 40 ounce smoothies were half price. I opted for a 32 ounce "Pineapple Surf," which was practically bursting with flavor. I don't own a blender, so anytime I can get a smoothie is a real treat. They're a wonderful beverage, especially if you haven't had one in quite some time.
