My wife and I took our son, Jacob, to his first major league baseball game over the weekend.

What a pleasure it was for me to sit in the stands with my son and point out the sights for his first ever trip to Wrigley Field.

While it was an exciting adventure, we planned poorly for the weather conditions.

When I checked the weather app on my phone I noticed the high was only supposed to be 64.  While I was wearing jeans, my wife was wearing capri pants and our son was wearing shorts!

We made a quick stop by the Walmart in Galena and picked up a pair of $8 pants for Jacob.

At the field, with the breeze coming in off the lake, it felt closer to 50 degrees.  Everybody was shivering, so I stopped down by the gift shop and bit the bullet.  One $50 dollar sweatshirt for my wife and one $50 plush blanket to share and we were good to go.

I hope you get a chance to experience a game at Wrigley Field at least once.  Just be sure to check the weather channel and plan accordingly.
