This is incredible news.

At the Disney+ panel at D23 Expo 2019, Disney announced a ton of new shows and films coming to the upcoming streaming service, which debuts later this fall. One of the biggest surprises was the announcement of a She-Hulk television series, featuring Jennifer Walters, the longtime She-Hulk of Marvel Comics.

In comics, Jen Walters is Bruce Banner’s cousin, and she becomes a She-Hulk after she gets a blood transfusion from Bruce. (They didn’t confirm Mark Ruffalo would be appearing in the series, but you can definitely start speculating about that right now.) She-Hulk has been an Avenger and a member of the Fantastic Four, and in her day job she’s a lawyer. The brief animated teaser for the show that played at D23 showed a blind justice statue covered in graffiti, so expect a mix of legal drama and superheroes.

This is the first She-Hulk TV series, but of course, it will not be the first Hulk series. The Hulk was one of Marvel’s original television stars; Bill Bixby and Lou Ferrigno starred as Banner and the Hulk, respectively, on five season of an Incredible Hulk series on CBS. So this would be a bit of a homecoming for the Hulk. A Hulkcoming, if you will. (Sorry.)

Disney+ launches on November 12. A release date was not revealed at D23, but the show was listed after all of the previously announced MCU Disney+ series.
