On January 10th, 2017 President Barack Obama give his farewell speech. Crowds all over the country gushed as he publicly thanked his wife and our First Lady Michelle Obama for serving these past eight years alongside him. The next day, Michelle was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon for the final time as First Lady. She was serenaded by legendary singer Stevie Wonder, and in true First Lady form, she was a gracious guest.

The entire show was dedicated to Michelle Obama, people got a chance to see Michelle's cool and hip side that we've all grown to love as she and Jimmy went up against comedians Dave Chappelle and Jerry Seinfeld for a game of "catchphrase."

She also showcased her handwriting skills as she sent fun thank you notes to President Obama, Inauguration Day, and other people who worked alongside her.

She surprised people as they recorded what they thought were regular goodbye messages to their First Lady. Every person who recorded a message got the shock of their life when she came from behind the curtain to show that they were talking to the First Lady herself and not just a picture.

Michelle took the time to graciously thank her mother for also serving in the White House as First grandmother. Jimmy had fun going over photos that were shared throughout her years as First Lady.

She was able to share the initiatives that she will still work on after she leaves the White House, and also the advice that she gave incoming First Lady Melania Trump.

For eight years Michelle Obama used her intellect, grace, and kindness to serve as the First Lady of the United States, and she will truly be missed.
