Support the Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital with Y105 This Friday!
After months of hard work, preparation, and organization from multiple parties, the Y105 radiothon in support of the University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital is merely days away!
Our radiothon will take place Friday, December 6th from 6am to 6pm LIVE on Y105! You can tune in/call in with a donation while I speak with several families about the care and treatment their child received/is receiving at the Iowa City hospital, or you can contribute directly to the hospital via our "Gold Rush" page!
For our radiothon, we have partnered with the Children's Miracle Network and Loras College with the intention to help make a difference:

I had the pleasure of taking a tour of the wonderful Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital in August. It's such an immaculate establishment, thoughtfully designed and unlike any hospital I've ever seen. Everything was designed with children in mind. For example, each floor is color-coded and represented by an animal. This is due to the fact that kids might not remember they are on "floor six," but they'll remember, say, the turtles that line the walls of that specific floor.
During our radiothon on Friday, December 6th on Y105, I will be talking with patients and families directly impacted by the Children’s Miracle Network and University of Iowa Health Care Stead Family Children's Hospital. Not only do I want these stories to be heard, I want them to inspire you to donate and know what you're donating to.

- Every dollar raised leading up to/during our radiothon stays local.
- Those dollars raised will support research, life-saving equipment, and programs.
- The Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital is not-for-profit. No child nor family is ever turned away regardless of ability to pay. The hospital works with any/all insurance plans, and those families who do not have coverage.
- Over 106,000 kids from 99 Iowa counties, 44 states, and 20 other countries were treated by the hospital last year alone.
