K-pop sensations TEEN TOP are about to lose one member.

23-year-old L.Joe reportedly filed for a nullification of his contract today (Feb. 9) with the group's agency, TOP Media.

His decision to leave TEEN TOP is allegedly based on the agency's obstruction of his solo career.

"He alleges that the company abused their power and created mistrust that has been shattered beyond recovery," reports Koreaboo. The dispute allegedly began in October of last year, when L.Joe called a meeting with TOP Media to discuss his contract renewal.

In the meeting, L.Joe "expressed his wishes to become a solo artist but felt that the company was delaying his solo activities for far too long."

The agency reportedly counters that L.Joe didn't carry out his own contractual obligations, claiming he "did not communicate properly with the production company of a drama that attempted to cast him."

“It is true that L.Joe did request a contract termination," confirmed TOP Media in a statement (via Soompi), "but because there is still time left on his contract, we are hoping that he will continue to promote [with the others]. The other five members renewed their contracts last year in December. They are currently preparing for their comeback in March. The members and the company are hoping that [L.Joe] will have a change of heart.”

Earlier in the week, L.Joe switched his Instagram to private, changed his name from "teentoploveu93" to "iam931123" and even deleted all his selfies, causing fans to worry.

The six-piece boy band made their debut in 2010 with their single album, Come Into the World. They released their full-length studio LP, No. 1, in 2013.
