The Dubuque Regional Humane Society’s Pet of the Week is Peanut

Each week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting a "Pet of the Week." The Pet of the Week is available to be adopted via the Humane Society. "Pet of the Week" is brought to you by Finnin Kia, a trusted Kia dealer in Dubuque, IA.

This week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting Peanut, a four-and-a-half year old dog who is cute as a button:

Peanut she weighs 41lbs. This peanut is slowly learning to come out of her shell! When people walk past her kennel, she likes to act tough with her barking, but once she meets you, she warms up in no time! She is looking for a home on the quieter side with people who would take things nice and slow with her.

Like many dogs, Peanut enjoys getting butt scratches, spending time outside, and giving kisses. She walks great on a leash and would make for an excellent walking partner. On the flipside, she loves snuggling and would be a perfect couch-potato. Peanut’s favorite snacks are beef-flavored dog treats and she’s enjoyed dressing up all pretty in the past!

Due to Peanut being one of our longest-stay dogs, she has been graciously sponsored! She would do best as the only pet in the home. We encourage everyone to stop out and meet Peanut soon!
