This Library Event in Dubuque is for the Dogs…and the Cats!
If you've ever considered adopting a new pet or simply wanted to help a pet currently in the Dubuque Humane Society, here's your chance to do both!
The public is invited to attend a Pet Café event at the Carnegie-Stout Public Library on Locust Street in Dubuque on Saturday, October 1st from 10 a.m.-Noon. in the third-floor auditorium. Enjoy free refreshments and meet adoptable animals from the Dubuque Regional Humane Society.
Adult Services Librarian Becky Maher-Jacobson said:
“We’re excited to partner with the DRHS for this event and help introduce community members to pets available for adoption,”. “The library will have a selection of pet-related books available to borrow for those interested in learning more about a specific breed, training, or how to be a responsible pet owner.”
Attendees to this event are encouraged to bring a donation for animals in need. Requested items include:
- Kitten Pâté
- Kitten Milk Powder Replacer
- Liquid Dish Soap
- Paper Towels
- Trash bags
- Any type of cat or dog kibble
