Some of the biggest names in K-pop were actually born in the United States, and later moved to South Korea to chase their dreams of music stardom.

But what happens when they come home to try breaking into the U.S. music scene?

MTV's new digital docu-series, Homecoming, will show the world exactly what might happen. The new series follows Tiffany Young, of Girls' Generation, Jay Park, formerly of 2PM, and Amber Liu, formerly of f(x), as they head home to the States to see if they have what it takes to make it in the western music biz.

"Your new artist moments? Those come once in a lifetime, and the fact that I get to experience this again?!" Tiffany gushes in the exciting new trailer for the series (watch below).

"I felt very motivated to release some things in English because I wanna represent my community," Amber says, explaining part of the reason why she's not sticking solely to music in Korean.

"You don't see a lot of Asian people just in like, mainstream media in general. You know, I enjoy the challenge. I like making what seems impossible, possible," Jay Park says explaining one of his motivations to try making is in the Western music biz.

Don't miss Homecoming when the first episode premiere Monday, January 14, on the MTV News YouTube channel.
