"Girls' Generation forever!" Tiffany Young declared to PopCrush in a 2018 interview — and it looks like the bond still holds strong, as the GG member-turned-solo artist invited fellow Girls' Generation member Sooyoung, as well as pianist Chloe Flower, to collaborate on the Korean rendition of her R&B love song, "Runaway."

"Sooyoung loved the song just as much [as me] and even wrote this Korean version," Young said of the track, out May 31, in a press release. "I'm so proud and lucky to have her by my side as a sister and as a talented lyricist."

The Korean rendition of "Runaway" is a musical synthesis of the "Born Again" singer's K-pop roots and her current work as a solo artist. The use of "Konglish" (Korean and English) is perfectly executed to the point where one may reminisce her days singing slow-tempo tracks like "Oppa Nappa" or "Baby Baby." Meanwhile, the addition of Flower's piano arrangement elevates a lighter sound to the song.

"My new journey has been about bridging the two worlds of K-pop and pop together," the singer explained. "I got to see how much my fans loved 'Runaway' and saw how passionately they sang their hearts out with me every night and that really inspired me to put it together. The hot air balloon in the music video also symbolizes this new journey of bridging two worlds with a Korean version for me."

"Runaway," featuring Babyface, released earlier this year on Young's debut English-language EP, Born Again. When asked how was it like working with one of R&B's legendary voices, Young expressed how much of an honor it was.

"The best thing was being in the studio and that I got to learn from him," she shared. "From the way he directs my performance to being able to see and hear him sing in person is magical. It still feels like a dream come true every time I listen to 'Runaway.' I'm just so honored to work with such a legend."
