There are several reasons why no one wants to live in the house where a horrific murder happened, especially the one that rocked Colorado residents in 2018: when Chris Watts murdered his entire family, including his two daughters.

However, even two years later, the house still sits empty in Frederick, Colorado. While some neighbors want to see "new life" in the home, according to Denver7, others want to see it torn down. Either way, ever since a new documentary hit the popular streaming service, the house's infamy has grown.

Thanks to the new Netflix documentary, American Murder: The Family Next Door, the neighborhood is receiving some unwanted attention. The documentary was released on September 30, 2020, and has been given 4.4 out of 5 stars on Google, with many users calling the film "devastating".

According to a neighbor interviewed by The Denver Channel, the documentary has meant more visitors are coming in from out of state to check out the house. Because of the nationwide fascination with the house, many are deeming it "unsellable".
