I'm not going to lecture anyone but I am going to share a personal experience.

I caught an article from TH ONLINE yesterday about an increasing problem with local sewer systems being clogged up with face masks and disinfectant wipes.

When me and my wife bought our house on Washington Street in Dubuque a few years back, we purchased it from a woman who had a couple of daughters.

Not long after we moved in, we had a pretty massive sewer back up and water was flowing back into our basement. We had to call a plumber to come open up our pipes with an industrial snake.

In the process, he pulled a bunch of feminine products from the plumbing. He told us this is a no-no and even gave us the best kind of toilet paper to use to prevent blockage. (He swore by Angel Soft Two-Ply... I still remember that today.)

To make a long story short, it was an expensive process!

Sure it's easy to flip things into the toilet and flush them into oblivion, but unfortunately it doesn't always work that way.

Yesterday I saw the article about the Public Works departments in Peosta and East Dubuque finding an abundance of face masks and wipes being flushed into the sewer systems.

This is silly and could cause expensive problems for you and your neighbors! Do yourself a favor and use the trashcan! Unless you're independently wealthy, only TP in the toilet!
