Los Angeles-based artist Zacari is the newest addition to the Top Dawg Entertainment roster. The label announced the signing in a press release on Friday (Jan. 25), along with the arrival of his new single, "Don't Trip."

Zacari has collaborated with the TDE family multiple times in the past, and was even one of only three guests featured on Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. album in 2017. The singer appeared on Kendrick's track "LOVE."

"To have a song with a guy like Kendrick Lamar in this generation, is like back in the days, having a song with 2Pac, basically,” he told Billboard at the time. "It’s legendary."

Prior to that, he appeared alongside TDE artist Isaiah Rashad on his 2016 cut "Wat's Wrong," which also featured K.Dot, and on Ab-Soul's track "Raw (Backwards)" later that same year. Most recently, he was featured on the Kendrick-curated Black Panther album. According to a photo Zacari shared on Instagram last month, he's also been working on ScHoolboy Q's upcoming album.

Zacari's new release, "Don't Trip," is produced by J-Louis and Teddy Walton, and serves as the lead-in to his forthcoming debut EP.

"You've already been warned / You know what I be on," he sings on the track. "I've been the same since day one / I never lie, I never lie / What you tripping on, trippin on, trippin on me for?"
