Two years ago, one of the most sprawling and expensive properties in Iowa came up for sale. Its price-tag was not cheap, but then again, neither were its facilities, which boasted everything from an operation Irish pub to a movie theater and 50 additional rooms to go along with that!

Now, that home, which is located in West Okoboji Lake, is off the market. It sold for $9.5 million, below its $12 million asking price. It is now officially Iowa's most expensive property, surpassing another mansion in the area that sold for over $5 million in 2022.

The estate is 25,000 square feet and sits on 178 feet of lakeshore, per Holly Lovell, the broker and CEO of @properties-elleven. I went back to comb through photos I gathered of the home back in 2022 in effort to recall the ins and outs of this massive work of art.

It's hard to know where to begin with this one. First off, it has as many couches as I've owned in my entire life. There's a piano casually sitting on the elevated floor in the corner. The kitchen boasts a bar. Plus there's enough natural lighting to shoot a whole HBO miniseries in this room alone.

The house itself was built on a 1.25 acre property in the early 2000s, and about 90 officers were hired to guard the home during its building stage!

One of the coolest features in this home is a fully operational pub, which is designed to look like one you'd find in Dublin. The restaurant-within-the-home features a stage where several musicians have performed in the past, and can accommodate as many as 300 people!

The best part about having a whole bar/pub inside your home? You wouldn't have to worry about a DUI, or dealing with a crowd at a local watering-hole!

The name of the bar is even derived from the previous owner's Leprechaun imaginary friend as a child! Per The Des Moines Register, the original owner traveled to Ireland to take notes of other Irish pubs in order to build his own with a great deal of similarities and accuracies.

In addition, here's one of the eight bedrooms housed in this palace. Many are so big and spacious, I couldn't tell which one was the definitive "master bedroom." I'd personally settle for any one. After all, you have more beds than you have days of the week!
