Each week, the Dubuque Regional Humane Society is highlighting a "Pet of the Week." The Pet of the Week is available to be adopted via the Humane Society.

This week, we're doubling back to highlight Jett, whom Tom Drake wrote about back in July. Jett is still looking for his forever home, and is currently battling kennel fatigue. He's ready to be with his lifelong companion.

In time to be showcased for a second time, the staff at the Dubuque Regional Humane Society got Jett all dressed up in his holiday best.

Five-years-old and around 80 pounds, Jett is a big-hearted dog looking for a quiet home, a soft bed, and a loyal human. He's sweet, silly, and loyal, but needs to be the only dog in your home. That's been the hold-up in finding him the right home. He needs to be the star of your household in the canine department, and he will make sure he is worthy of top billing in both your home and your heart.

Some additional notes on Jett:

Jett is house trained, has done well with older kids and other dogs, and would thrive in a calm, steady home. While he’s always up for a walk or a camping trip, he’s not a fan of loud, chaotic environments. He prefers peace and quiet with his favorite humans. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will be just as happy sharing your couch as your adventures, Jett might be your perfect match - per Tom Drake's "Pet of the Week" piece on Jett in July 2025
