A wildly popular coffee chain with a devoted cult following will finally be getting its first Illinois location in due time.

This year has seen another nationally known chain come to Illinois in Jack in the Box. The first Jack in the Box has opened in the Chicago area after a 40-year absence, per NBC 5 Chicago. The first of eight planned locations opened Monday, the inaugural restaurant arriving in Plainfield on Route 59 near Vermette Circle. Now, another west coast-based chain is following suit.

Last week, it was confirmed that Dutch Bros Coffee would be opening its first ever Illinois location. The first of its kind coffee shop in the Land of Lincoln will be in Edwardsville, located at 2475 Troy Road, near an existing Chick-fil-A and Target.

Similar to Scooter's Coffee, Dutch Bros is a drive-thru-only coffee chain that is known for its smoothies, freezes, teas, energy drinks, and of course, hot/iced coffee. A peek at their menu shows the company's wide variety of drinks, including energy drinks known as "Rebels," as well as the Golden Eagle, which is espresso, caramel, and Vanilla Breve with caramel drizzle, and the Caramelizer with espresso, caramel, and chocolate milk.

Dutch Bros Coffee is based in Oregon, and shockingly doesn't have a location anywhere in Chicago or Illinois as a whole. The closest locations to the Chicagoland area are in Indiana, with one in Noblesville and another in Lafayette.
