Menu Changes Could Be Coming to Happy Joe’s Following Acquisition
A popular, regionally beloved pizza franchise has been acquired by a local investor group with menu changes on the horizon.
Happy Joe's Pizza and Ice Cream is a Tri-State staple. I don't think I've ever driven past the Galena location on Highway 20 and not seen it bustling. However, Happy Joe's fans might need to get accustomed to some new menu offerings after a group of Quad Cities investors moved to acquire the restaurant chain in September.

Happy Joe's is Being Acquired by a New Ownership Group:
Per KWQC, the Quad Cities-based ownership group said its focus in the immediate will be "ensuring consistent quality across all locations" in addition to rolling out new menu options:
Happy Joe’s has meant something to families in this region for more than 50 years, and that is not something you take lightly. This is a brand people love, and our job is to take great care of it — great food every visit, restaurants families are proud to bring their kids to, and birthday parties that create the same memories for the next generation that so many of us grew up with. That is where the work starts - Carlos Araujo, an executive of the new ownership group, per KWQC
Changes Coming to Happy Joe's:
While details aren't concretized at this point in time, several new menu updates and offerings are expected. The changes will reportedly "celebrate" staples like taco pizza, with new items and family bundles to follow as well. Specifics on the acquisition cost have not been revealed either.
