After escalating a serious broccoli recall that impacted Illinois to the highest possible classification, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued another significant recall for 60 baked products sold in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin.

The recall impacts approximately two million baked goods manufactured by FGF Brands, a pastry wholesaler that distributes within the U.S. and Canada, per USA Today. The recall is due to the potential for contamination with listeria monocytogenes.

Some of the recalled products include a variety of filled and flavored donuts, as well as cinnamon sticks, French crullers, and fritters, some of which were even sold at Dunkin'. The recalled products were produced before December 13th, 2024, according to the FDA report.

The initial recall was issued on January 7th, 2025, but was upgraded by the FDA to a Class II this week. A Class II recall is defined as "a situation in which use of, or exposure to, a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote," according to the FDA’s website.

A full list of affected products can be found on the FDA's website.

The FDA also did not specify what action consumers should take, though it's assumed that throwing the affected products away, should you be in possession of them, would be the appropriate course of action. Customers can contact FGF Brands via telephone at 905-761-3333 or via email at info@fgfbrands.com.
