Guy Fieri’s Kitchen + Bar Opening First Iowa Location This Year

Guy Fieri has become something of an institution with his program Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. As of late, like most reality TV hosts/restaurant professionals, he's opened a chain of his own: Guy Fieri's Kitchen + Bar. And at last, Iowa is set to see its first Fieri-owned restaurant open!

Featuring such favorites as Trash Can Nachos and Double Barrel BBQ Wings, Guy Fieri's Kitchen + Bar is set to be a part of Harrah's Council Bluffs Casino and Hotel's $22 million renovation project. Fieri's restaurant alone will cost roughly $4 million. According to a press release:

The plans include expanding expanding the casino gaming floor, remodeling hotel rooms, and a new dining concept with an acclaimed restaurant partner. The expansion will add new casino jobs and millions to local and state gaming tax revenues. - per 3 News Now

Guy Fieri's show is known for its showcase of hole-in-the-wall eateries serving up delicious grub. Fieri's restaurant, on the other hand, is known as the place where people can experience a hearty variety of sandwiches, burgers, desserts, and more.

The renovations at Harrah's will also include an outdoor patio for Guy Fieri's Kitchen + Bar. Meanwhile, renovations to the hotel itself are expected to commence in spring 2024. Where does that leave Guy Fieri's Kitchen + Bar? To open a lot sooner than you might think.

According to the Sioux City Journal, Guy Fieri's Kitchen + Bar is expected to open in May 2023! Fans of the Mayor of Flavortown will soon be able to make the jaunt to Council Bluffs to enjoy his restaurant.

I'll be honest, I'd personally rather have a Margaritaville or a Taffer's Tavern, but I know this will be an attraction for many based on the incredible popularity of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Guy Fieri also recently appeared in the movie 80 for Brady, revolving around four elderly women making a trip to the Super Bowl to see Tom Brady play.
