Halloween Fun With The Family

I remember a few years ago when Halloween used to be all about picking an outfit and deciding which bar me and my wife would haunt for the evening.

Now that we have a son that's almost six, our Halloween is becoming a much different experience.

Yesterday I cut out a bit early to head home for our pumpkin carving.  While Jacob was excited at first, when he started reaching in to pull out the guts he was ready to give up.

Luckily mom and dad were there to help and once the dirty work was done he was very excited to design the face for his pumpkin.

When we were done we lit them up to check out the finished product.  Awesome!

Later we ran over to our son's school, Holy Ghost, to set up our DJ equipment for the school's Halloween dance.  Our buddy Rich from ABC Muzik let us use his stuff, so we got the opportunity to DJ our first-ever Halloween party!

Jacob had a blast.  If you look at the picture above you see him dead-center in his Cubs outfit.  The school's parent association did a great job and threw a really nice party.

So much for the bar scene.  I had a lot of fun with my wife and son...
