Did you know that New Year's Eve Ball in Times Square was 12 feet tall, weighed 11,875 pounds and was worth over one million dollars?

It was really something to see.  While you sit back and watch the ball drop, you really take it for granted.  I try to think of the people who put the work into creating that special moment each year... the freezing cold weather, the heavy lifting to put that thing up.  My point?  As we start the new year, take a moment and try to appreciate the things in your life that you usually take for granted.  Every day you have your routine, but slow down for a second and maybe say thanks to the lady at the gas station who brews your coffee each day, or the kid who throws your newspaper on your porch.  Everybody likes to be appreciated, no matter how insignificant their part of your life may seem.

Have a great 2014!
