To end the month of July, Hy-Vee announced a noteworthy change to their online grocery delivery at all of its store locations, effective immediately. The change is in regards to a payment option the service will now accept.

Hy-Vee has made some seismic changes this year, the most significant perhaps being them closing all Wahlburgers restaurants insider their stores. Announced in January, Hy-Vee confirmed they'd be reviving the "Market Grille" namesake, the restaurant that used to exist before the company's partnership with Wahlburgers.

Now, all Hy-Vee grocery stores, including those in Illinois, Iowa, and Wisconsin, will accept SNAP/EBT payment for online grocery delivery. The popular Midwest grocer began accepting SNAP/EBT payment for pickup orders back in 2020, and now, to streamline the payment process, they've introduced the option to use those payment methods virtually, per a press release:

By offering SNAP/EBT payment for delivery orders, Hy-Vee can now reach more customers and increase grocery access throughout the communities we serve. With additional digital features, the online experience makes it even easier for our SNAP/EBT customers to shop for groceries - Vice President of E-Commerce at Hy-Vee Dan Gubbins, per Hy-Vee's press release

This change will also make it easier for SNAP/EBT users to identify SNAP-eligible products on Hy-Vee's website.

Moreover, the company has created a landing page on their website to help contextualize the use of SNAP/EBT benefits virtually. You can find out more details on Hy-Vee's website.
