Dubuque’s Irish Hooley Will Be Shamrockin’ for the 19th Year

Dubuque's premier Irish musical festival is set to return this Saturday, August 24th, bring food, live music, dancing, and fun all in the name of celebrating the spirit of the Irish!

The 19th Annual Irish Hooley is happening at the Port of Dubuque, specifically the Dubuque Star Brewery and the Alliant Amphitheater. Kicking off at 11am, the day-long music festival features a number of bands playing traditional Irish music as well as numerous food trucks from the Tri-State area serving up delicious eats!

Great Irish Bands Will Be Taking the Stage:

Jordan Larkin of the Irish Hooley stopped by to talk about all that is happening at the Port of Dubuque that Saturday, and talked about how the event is equal parts a celebration of Irish culture as well as music:

So, the Irish Hooley kind of just started as a little party. When you think of 'Hooley,' you think of dance, art, culture, and when you go even further, that's kind of what being Irish is all about [....] we always want to have that authentic Irish sound [with our concerts] - Jordan Larkin, per our interview

A barrage of talented musicians will be taking the Alliant Amphitheaters stage at the 19th Annual Irish Hooley, including:

• McNulty School of Irish Dance
• Ian Gould
• Ballyheigue
• The Lads of Dubuque
• Rory Makem
• Michael Darcy and the Atlantic Tramps
• The High Kings

Where You Can Buy Tickets:

Advanced tickets for the 19th Annual Irish Hooley are only $15, and available to purchase at the following establishments:

• Shamrock Imports
• Premier Bank
• Family Beer & Liquor Store
• Happy's Place

Tickets can be purchased at the gate on the day of the event for $20. Kids age 10 and under get in for free.

Where to Park:

Public parking spaces for the Irish Hooley will be available as well as street parking within close walking distance of the event. Some are free while some may require a fee.
