Brain And His Kids Reenact This Photo For Father’s Day!

Nothing lets you know how fast time is flying by like photos from the past. The above photo is one of the most cherished of me and the kiddos. It was after bath time on a school night and perfectly captured our life at that moment. Raising kids is crazy and hectic but also the best job in the world!

In the original picture, Chase is around 9, Carly is 5, and Cayleigh is 4. Flash forward several years later and Holly had the idea to reenact the photo on Father's Day. The old leather recliner was gone so we staged this photo on the couch. You can tell just how much the kids had changed in just a couple of years.

I'm not quite sure why we hadn't updated this photo in the last several years. Time goes by way too fast, especially when the kids get busy with activities. Suddenly we have one child out of high school, another entering, and only one left in junior high! I always laugh at my Dad when I tell him that I know I'm old because I have a son who is 18. He says, "How do you think I feel? My son has a son who is 18!"

So here is our updated photo taken on Father's Day 2023. Chase is now 18 years old, Carly is 14, and Cayleigh is 13. I can't think of a better Father's Day gift than reenacting this photo. Here's hoping it isn't the last version I get to share!
